The Trampery Poplar Works, Poplar

Overview
Poplar Works is one of the most purposeful and community-rooted workspaces in East London, a partnership between Poplar HARCA, London College of Fashion, UAL, and The Trampery, supported by the Mayor of London as a core part of the Fashion District initiative.
The site spans two locations, the main Poplar Works building on Abbott Road with ground-floor and first-floor studios, and The Makery on Teviot Street, a separate set of 20 individual workshops with their own front doors, all connected under one Poplar Works membership that includes access to all shared facilities, training, and the community programme. Over 40 studios and workshops house designers, makers, jewellers, fashion graduates, sustainable startups, and experienced business owners working in fashion and creative production, alongside UAL London College of Fashion's award-winning Making for Change programme. The on-site café, Pink Tuk-Tuk, serving traditional Indian food and great coffee, the members lounge, communal kitchen, printing facilities, bike storage, shared manufacturing unit, and a full enterprise and events programme all add up to something that goes well beyond a regular studio building, a genuine platform for emerging fashion businesses to grow. New fully designed studios ranging from 150 to 260 sq ft with prices from £390/mo are also now available.
All Saints DLR is an eight-minute walk for rapid connections to Canary Wharf, Bank, Shadwell, and Stratford. Langdon Park DLR is ten minutes, and Canary Wharf is twelve minutes by DLR with connections to the Jubilee line and Elizabeth line. The surrounding Aberfeldy Village neighbourhood is in the middle of an active and genuinely exciting regeneration, with a new high street, public spaces, and community infrastructure all taking shape around the Poplar Works campus.
