Overview
The Trampery Fish Island Village is London's largest campus dedicated to fashion, innovation, and sustainability, a 6-acre complex of 10 buildings spread alongside the Hertford Union Canal in Hackney Wick, and it is unlike anything else in the city in its scale, its specificity, and its ambition.
Launched in partnership with the British Fashion Council, London College of Fashion, the Mayor of London, and the London Legacy Development Corporation, the campus brings together 63 studios from 150 to 2,000 square feet, a 28-desk coworking space in The Trampery Clubhouse, three state-of-the-art meeting rooms for 4, 6, and 12 people, The Gallery event space for up to 60 people, a 1,000 square foot sustainable manufacturing facility, a dedicated sample sale and catwalk space, the celebrated INIS restaurant serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch canalside, showers, a wellness room, quiet space, gender-inclusive toilets, and high ceilings up to 18 feet with abundant natural light throughout every studio. The interiors were designed by Bureau de Change and the campus is beautifully built, with serious energy efficiency credentials and a community of fashion designers, photographers, sustainability consultants, creative studios, wellness businesses, and independent brands that gives the whole place an energy that is genuinely rare. Free onsite business support, the Sustainable Fashion Accelerator programme, and a weekly events calendar make Fish Island Village a complete platform for creative businesses, not just a place to work.
Hackney Wick Overground is a five-minute walk, one stop to Stratford for the Jubilee, Central, DLR, and National Rail connections. Victoria Park is ten minutes on foot, the Olympic Park and Hackney Marshes are immediately across the canal, and the independent restaurants, bars, and creative studios of the Hackney Wick and Fish Island neighbourhood surround the campus on all sides.
